If you’ve been trying to get pregnant for the first time for quite a while, there’s a decent chance there could be something getting in the way. There’ll be some reason why that’s the case. But, it doesn’t have to mean it’ll be impossible to get pregnant.

Quite the opposite. It could just mean you’ll have to make a few changes to give you a better chance of getting pregnant. Some of these should have more of an impact than others.

Talk to Your Healthcare Provider

When you’re struggling with getting pregnant, there’s often some form of underlying reason why. Figure out what that is so you can address it. Talking to your healthcare provider is the best first step in this, as they should be able to diagnose any potential conditions and figure out why you’re struggling with pregnancy.

Thankfully, this doesn’t always need to be overwhelming to overcome. It could just be a matter of going to a fertility clinic and having treatments done for a while. There’ll usually be some way to overcome your pregnancy struggles.

Avoid Toxic Contaminants & Chemicals

Your lifestyle can always play a role in your pregnancy chances, so it’s worth looking into the parts of your lifestyle that could be negatively affecting it. Toxic contaminants and chemicals are some of the more notable of these to focus on, as these can affect men’s and women’s fertility rates quite a bit.

While they mightn’t be coming into direct contact with your body, they can still be absorbed when you’re breathing them in around the home after using them. Replace them with natural alternatives so this isn’t an issue anymore.

Learn Your Family History

Countless factors can play a role in your chances of getting pregnant. Your family history can help you figure out if you’re at risk of any of these, even before you start trying to have a baby. But, you’ll need to look into your family history first to figure out if there are any pregnancy-related patterns.

Focusing on these puts you in a better position to figure out if your pregnancy struggles are health-related or if they’re lifestyle-related. Let your medical providers know about anything that could pop up.

Reach & Maintain a Healthy Weight

Your weight can have a lot more of an impact on your chances of pregnancy than you might’ve thought. Obesity, for example, makes it much more difficult to get pregnant. It’s tied to more than a few conditions that’ll impact your fertility and other areas, so it’s worth getting within a healthy weight range.

This doesn’t mean getting underweight, however. This comes with more than a few conditions itself, and can be a risk to your health and overall pregnancy chances. In the weight range, you’ll have a better chance of getting pregnant.

Trying to get pregnant for the first time can be a struggle for countless people. But, it doesn’t need to be impossible. With the right tips, you should improve your chances quite a bit.
